2018 NAIOP Finalist for Industrial Development of the Year
When we met Exotic Metals, they needed a new facility – fast – to fulfill a new manufacturing contract. We leveraged this need for a new building to create a corporate headquarters, housing Exotic’s engineering and administration teams.
Included in the new building is a (3) level employee break space and flexible open office space with views to the adjacent wetland and large as well as the production floor. This connection between customers, engineers and the people fabricating the parts was also important in the lobby design – the production floor is visible from the building entrance and large storefront windows allow guests to see the work in progress without compromising security. Craft led Exotic through a programming process to modernize how teams were organized and how work was produced.
Exotic is a family-owned organization who engineers and manufactures vital systems and components for virtually every commercial airliner and military aircraft in active service today. The building, materials and interior spaces support Exotic’s values as a place to pursue their passion each and every day and reflects their value for excellence in everything they do.
