Spectrum Controls
Corporate Headquarters
24,000 sq. ft.
Bellevue, Washington
Spectrum Controls, an engineering and manufacturing company, hired
Craft to transform a 30 year old building into their new company
headquarters. The building was dated, dark and neglected. Craft, with
the help of Poe Construction, gutted the interior, designed a second
floor addition and ultimately took the outdated structure into the new
millennium. The end product reflects the culture and values of the
client by emphasizing the quality of the employee experience. Spectrum
wasn’t afraid to spend money but challenged us to spend it wisely.
Upgraded amenities such as granite in the toilet rooms, an exterior
patio/gathering space and a fully functional kitchen with top of the
line appliances were priorities. It is now a practical, functional
office space with enough ‘cool’ to keep employee energy at peak levels.
Our favorite part of the project was working in tandem with the Spectrum
team – the passion and creativity of the company owner inspired us to
bring our ‘A’ game every day.
