Think LEAN, think Hi-TECH, think FLEXIBLE, think NO WALLS.  These words best describe this state-of-the-art corporate headquarters on thirteen acres strategically located near one of their largest customers, Boeing.  Korry Electronics has embraced the concept of continuous improvement and investment in both people and technology in all aspects of their company including administration, research & development, engineering, fabrication, assembly and distribution.  To reflect their LEAN attitude and production model they needed a facility that offered extreme flexibility and visibility.

Their new building lacks only one thing – private offices.  Strategic emphasis on product and information flow, through thoughtful planning (and soul searching), led to the elimination of the hard-built separation between team members and resulted in an open, creative environment that encourages effective communication and direct interaction between the designers, producers and administrators of each product line.  Highly sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems provide efficient equipment moves and unlimited configuration opportunities, allowing an agile Korry team to quickly adapt to changes in their operations.

This fast-track team/build facility was completed in September 2009 thanks to the enthusiastic and responsive team that included Snohomish County, Paine Field, Capstone Partners, Bush Roed & Hitchings, DCI Engineers, McKinstry, Sasco, Foushée & Associates, and the full-time appointed Korry Electronics group.

Craft Architects and the team were honored with the 2011 Washington Aggregates and Concrete Association award for the Tilt-up Structure category.
